KTTO Brussels Representative: Mualla Çıraklı
Mualla has been managing the Brussels Office since its establishment in 2005. Prior to joining KTTO, she served at the Turkish Cypriot President’s Office as a Research Officer and Assistant to the Undersecretary, closely dealing with the UN negotiations for the comprehensive settlement of the Cyprus problem participating in the meetings of the Turkish Cypriot President and the Technical Committees. She also worked as a Trainer and Facilitator for the Cyprus Intercultural Training Initiative project funded by the UNDP to foster peacebuilding, cooperation and trust between the Turkish Cypriots and Greek Cypriots.

Mualla participates in several EU-level professional networks such as the Society of European Affairs Professionals (SEAP) and the Transatlantic Network 2020, and serves as an Accredited Lobbyist to the European Parliament. As an active member of civil society in Belgium, she helped found and served as the President of JCI The Heart of Europe focusing on socially responsible entrepreneurship and leadership.

Mualla has a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies with focus on Political Science and French from Hanover College, USA and an Advanced Master of Arts in European Studies from Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, Belgium. She speaks Turkish, English and French and has an intermediate knowledge of Spanish and Dutch.
