Turgay Deniz, President of the Turkish Cypriot Chamber of Commerce (TCCC), participated in the election of the General Council of the World Chambers Federation (WCF), the specialized unit of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) dealing with the Chambers of Commerce worldwide.
In the WCF General Council elections, total of 46 candidates participated and 20 members who will participate in 2020-2022 were determined. In the membership elections of the WCF General Council more than 100 registered members voted.
TCCC President Deniz stated that the most important step was taken by ensuring the visibility of the Turkish Cypriot Chamber of Commerce and that the operations on this platform will continue. Deniz also noted that consultation with many Chambers was also made.
Since its establishment in the early 1950s, WCF has served as a platform where chamber leaders and senior executives communicate with each other and collaborate in areas that will benefit them in common, where problems are solved and opportunities are evaluated.
