According to the official letter we received from the Directorate of Trade of the Ministry of Economy and Energy of the TRNC on July 28, 2026, amendments have been made to the Export Incentives Regulation, which is in force pursuant to Article 4 of the Foreign Trade (Regulation and Supervision) Law, as published in the Official Gazette on July 3, 2026, issue no: 594 and on July 17, 2026, issue no: 654.
The application of the regulation amendment will be as follows:
Article 5.1 Conditions required to benefit from export support;
The export must be to the Republic of Turkey and member countries of the European Union (excluding Southern Cyprus).
The export must not be made from free zones or the buyer company must not be in a free zone of a member of the European Union. Bringing at least 20% (twenty percent) of the export proceeds into the country and verifying this through bank transfer, export check, or export clearing with bank documents and customs paperwork. Compliance with procedures determined by the Ministry.
Article 4.1 Exporters wishing to benefit from export support must apply in writing to the Directorate of Trade within one year at the latest from the export date, along with the documents specified below:
Export Support Request Form (Table I),
Undertaking for exports to European Union member countries (Table II), Undertaking for exports to the Republic of Turkey (Table III),
Other information and documents requested by the Ministry.
In this regard, we kindly request that our members exporting to the Republic of Turkey under the Export Incentives Regulation also take this regulation into consideration.
